My love for Breaking Bad has not diminished whatsoever, so I was thrilled to have the opportunity to visit Albuquerque once again and see many of the spots I did not have the time for on my initial visit. As to be expected, some of the locations have changed quite a bit, while some no longer even exist. Very glad I was able to see the places:
Ted's House
This, funnily enough, is about a 3 minute walk from Jesse's house, and about 3 houses away from Chuck's house from Better Call Saul.
Loyola's
The diner that we see Mike at multiple times, and where he brings Jesse to meet Gus at night. Unfortunately, they are not opened Sunday or Monday, which was the day I was there!
Lazer Tag
This is a pretty basic looking building, and seeing as how they have updated their sign, you could almost walk right by and not even realize where you are.
Garduño's
This is where Walt and Skyler meet Hank and Marie and ultimately give them the "confession" DVD. We were able to sit right where they filmed the scene, and this is one of the few places that in person felt exactly like it did on screen.
Dog House
Where Jesse buys the gun intended to kill Tuco, and featured on Better Call Saul.
Saul Goodman's Office
I had visited this spot once before, but it did not have the lettering in the window, so I had to get another photo. Perhaps left from the filming of a yet unaired episode of Better Call Saul?
Vamonos Pest
This place looks pretty much the same - just a little cleaner and a different sign, of course.
Best Quality Vacuum:
This place looked basically the same, and the owner was a very nice man who took us inside and told us about them filming the show there and even took us in the back where the "basement" scenes were filmed. Very awesome to see.
The "Pick Up" Spot
The John B. Robert Dam is a cool spot even if you're not there for Breaking Bad. It's only about twice as wide as what we see on the show.
The Downtown Civic Plaza
This is where Jesse went to meet Walt, wired up with a tape recorder hoping to get a confession. Half of this place is under construction and fenced off, but the area where the scene was shot was open. A cool area, but not nearly as large as they made it look on the episode.
To'hajiilee
No explanation needed. Easily the coolest spot I've seen in person. Gave me chills to stand here, and remember how it felt seeing Ozymandius the first time.
